Accounting Manager (Part Time)
Accountability: Executive Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (12 to 15 hours per week)
Hiring Pay Range: $50-60 per hour (depending on qualifications)
Summary: The Accounting Manager is responsible for the administration of the financial, technological and administrative systems of the Association and Foundation, as well as government compliance reporting.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. CPA preferred. The Accounting Manager should have a minimum of five years’ experience with administrative responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the accuracy and productivity of Association and Foundation daily activities for bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial records and financial reports, including journal entries and monthly bank reconciliation.
- Enforce all accounting policies and procedures, develop and implement financial systems and improvements.
- Calculate, prepare, complete, and file necessary State and Federal forms (W-2, 1099, Form IL941, UI-340) for a staff of 16 full-time and 300+ part-time/seasonal employees. Several may be completed by outsourced payroll company.
- Manage the BS&A software system and other technology as may be required.
- Oversight and completion of annual audit requirements for both M-NASR and the Liponi Foundation (including schedules, management discussion and analysis, tax work papers). Provide and interpret financial data for staff as requested.
- Assist with preparation of the $3.5-million-dollar annual budget.
- Complete annual state and/or federal reports including Secretary of State Annual Report and tax-exempt status.
- Prepare financial reports for both Association and Foundation Board Meetings. Attend board meetings as requested.
- Provide financial information to staff as needed.
- Serve as back up for payroll and perform other duties as assigned.

- Attend programs, outings, and special events as requested.

- Attendance at various safety in-services.

- Most work is performed indoors, these activities include lighting and temperature

Essential Physical Capabilities:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, stooping
- Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items weighing 5-20 pounds with mechanical assistance or team lift.
